Another first

I am back blipping this from last night.

We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant.  After having worked our way through a steamed  pork bun each,  snapper braised in soy sauce, with mushrooms in oyster sauce and a coconut pudding the chef appeared at our table.  He once again wanted us to try his latest invention, at first he said it was taro ice cream, the colour seemed wrong. This was because it was actually purple sweet potato ice cream and it was delicious.  Not too sweet but refreshing.   We got to discussing his interesting ice creams.  Apparently he has only just learnt how to make ice cream after buying himself a small ice cream maker.  STOP reading now if your squeamish.......

The first ice cream he made was a caramel ice cream with a caramel coated worm in it, his mum loved it.  You were warned.  We did ask him not to put that one on the menu.

We are about to get hit by the remnants of tropical storm podul.  Heavy rain and flash flooding is predicted.   I hope we don't get any power cuts.  We did a big shop yesterday so we can stay home.  There seems to be a lot of storms and heavy rain ever where at the moment.
