Lucky Break

While in Fairhaven this afternoon to pick up library books I'd requested online, plus another new book from Village Books, I strolled down part of Harris Avenue, my One Street location, hoping for a blip.

I'd taken some humdrum shots, when suddenly my luck improved -- people! dogs! -- right in front of the iconic barber shop. The seemingly headless canine is a small beagle, sporting a winter sweater. A longer view places The Barber Shop at Fairhaven in the context of other shops on that block of Harris Avenue, and adds a glimpse of a few brave red leaves still clinging to the nearest tree. That upstairs balcony and the large windows look quite appealing -- I wonder who lives there?
