10,000 Candles

An event tonight in 6 cities throughout the state to commemorate International Overdose and Suicide Awareness. It was a beautiful tribute to loss and recovery, that is recovery from substance use,  emphasizing community involvement and support. Great speakers, a Recovery choir and candles, lots of them. In Extra, the area just before the event began and 30 minutes later, this and more filled with people.  Some familiar faces and lots of new ones.
