It was all about the......

.....birds today.  First thing this morning, in Blue Anchor, we were waiting to go into the Driftwood for some breakfast and huge skeins of geese flew over.  There must have been 100 or more.  So many and there was that lovely melodic, but haunting, honking as they flew low over the sea.  Even the two guys standing next to us said they'd never seen so many.  A privilege indeed.  I was thrilled.

Then at lunchtime this little collared dove decided that the tower scaffold outside the kitchen window was the place to perch.  They're very nervous but I was lucky to get this just by advancing the camera/lens and it's reasonably clear.
