Christmas decorations down

The rest of the decorations came down today.
I asked my son to take the baubles and lights off the tree. A simple job that should only take minutes.
By yanking the lights off the tree, he managed to get the tree down on its side. The tree was sitting in a bucket of water which also tipped over. The sitting room floor resembled a swimming pool with pines floating on top. It took ages to clean up the mess.
I then went to meet my uncle and aunt for a coffee.
After lunch, I started to pack for our trip back to London tomorrow. I didn't get a great deal done.
It was drizzly all day and we didn't manage to go for a walk.
