River Tay

Today is our wedding anniversary. We had planned to be away for a couple of nights but Cameraman has quite pressing things to do down south at the moment so we rescheduled the break away for later in the year.

Instead of heading west and south we went north and east to the fair city of Perth. It's a pretty sedate place so not for a wild night out but then that was never going to be on the agenda. Stopped for a second breakfast at Gloagburn before getting to Perth. Had a very pleasant walk at North Inch, South Inch and along the Tay. This is a view of the Tay by Moncreiffe Island which divides the river in two. There's a tiny figure with a wheelbarrow in the background. There are allotments on the island so some harvesting was maybe underway. I've added an extra of some of the flowers still doing their thing in the parkland by the river.

After the stroll we had a late lunch at the North Port restaurant which is reliably good. Seemed to manage three courses and that was after two breakfasts so we won't need to eat much tonight.

The weather has turned a bit autumnal but I think we'll manage another walk at some point. My step count needs to improve before next month.

The community council last night was enlivened by planning controversy. Lucky there was plenty of cake to keep us all going.
