A Moment of Rest

Dear Diary,

The only time I seem to be able to capture a Hummingbird is when they are taking a momentary rest.  Here is a little female on what is left of the trumpet vine flowers.  They do love those vines.  We got some much needed rain last night and a nice day is in store for us.  I love late summer when all the urgency seems to dissipate and there is a very  laid back and relaxed atmosphere.  John and I worked in the garden yesterday and the lawn got mowed so today is a day of rest for me too.
