Guild Chapel

Another visit to Staples today to help a couple buy a laptop and wireless printer; I ought to take shares in the place.

Its getting more difficult to find a Windows 7 laptop, most being the latest Win8. Another drawback of Windows 8 laptops I discovered today is that Microsoft Office Starter is no longer available, only the opportunity to purchase Office 2010. When all that is required is Word and Excel, Starter is perfectly fine, why pay £50 for programs you're not it going to use. Of course Oracle's Open Office, now known as Apache OpenOffice, is still available as a free download.

Later we went for coffee. On the way home we notice the Guild Chapel had opened its doors so we popped in for a look. The 13th century building is famous for its medieval wall paintings, mostly lost over the years although attempts at some restoration have been carried out. The main picture shown, Doom (Day of Judgement), can be seen here in detail as it would have looked originally.
