Pelican seeking some shade!

Wanting to make use of our annual zoo pass L and I headed to Edinburgh today. The zoo was busier than I expected but there's plenty of space and plenty of paths ..... just a shame that the site is not flat!

Another warm, sunny day so many of the birds, like the pelicans, were keeping in the shade.

Not only live creatures on show we found out that more than a million Lego bricks had been used in the creation and building of Bricklive Ocean. Over 30 life-sized sculptures formed a trail around the zoo.

The extra photo shows a Common Skate,  Three Puffins, a Mako Shark and a Sturgeon.  The sculptures were amazing and almost lifelike.
