Another driving day and another new book. I was really gripped by the Mark Billingham book that I featured last week and this one is proving really enjoyable but in a completely different way. In this book David Hepworth argues that 1971 was the greatest year in rock music. One of the advantages of my bulk buying in Hay on Wye is that I come back with a huge variety of books.

I feel really sorry for the Bury fans who lost their club yesterday. Chester went through the same thing in 2010 so I know what they are going through. I'm sure they will return.
