One thing that's hard to miss at this time of the year is this year the sheer murkiness of the mornings. You wake up in the dark and it's like it's still the middle of the night. Eventually you don scarf and coat and stroll out into a shadowy, twilit world. I can't quite decide whether this makes my journey into work cosy or gloomy.
The sun doesn't really seem to stagger out of bed until mid-morning, only to decide a few hours later that it fancies an early night.
