To Shallots and Onions and beyond

Spent productive afternoon in allotments: harvesting; cleaning and tying up shallots and onions. Bumper harvest of over 300 giant banana shallots (grown from seeds) and onions from seed and sets. They are now hanging up to dry and thereby ensure that they store well and keep my diet supplied till next June when overwintering Japanese onions will be ready for harvest.
