Sad Little Christmas Tree

Always sad when trees are taken down, but thought i'd put it out of it's misery today and take all it's trimmings, now it's sat on our patio looking very forlorn, now got to be chopped up for firewood....................
Once Was A Shining Christmas Tree
There once was a shining Christmas tree
Standing out where all could see.
Its brilliance captured very eye
And seemed to cheer each passer by.
