Travellers rest...

It's been another strange day today. The weather started off sunny, then it clouded over, then it snowed. later on the clouds disappeared and it snowed again whilst the sun was still shining. Then it stopped. Then it clouded over, then the sun came out. Then it got dark. The last bit was the only predictable part of the day.

The estate where I work has been subjected to traffic restrictions - most of the roads around the offices and ponds have been blocked off by large black Mercedes security vans and dangerous looking security guards giving us only one way in and one way out creating huge traffic jams and angry office workers.
The reason has now been made apparent - it seems that the old Barns Hospital site just down the road had been taken over by travellers, and they were due to be evicted on Monday. In fact, they were made to move off last night, and these draconian measures were to prevent them turning up here and pitching their 100 or so caravans on our site.

Edit: Raheny_eye has just pointed me towards Slant's journal - and it seems that these preventative measures may have deprived me of some great photo opportunities - however, I don't think I could do them as well as Slant does.
