Sammy

Little Sammy arrived this morning and he is absolutely adorable, very affectionate and friendly but also incredibly nervous!  He also seems frightened of my camera so I won't be taking many shots of him until he gets more confident. 

He was a stray in Ireland and has been in the UK for a couple of weeks, one of them at the Evesham Dogs Trust where they nearly lost him, he was so ill.  There is something wrong with his liver but the pills we will give him every morning will help sort that out.  He then spent a week in a foster family where he got on well with their two chihuahuas but not with their cat!  So we will look after him for a while until he gets adopted.

As you can see from the look in his eyes, he is very nervous and doesn't seem to like coming into the house too much - all a bit strange for him I think.  Luckily with this gorgeous weather we have been in the garden most of the day but this evening and tonight will be interesting - fingers crossed he settles down OK.
