A tea moment!

Ro has taken the two eldest two to a cricket match at Old Trafford.  Meanwhile I’ve been baking with 11yo.  We have made an angel food cake with leftover egg whites and lots of biscuits : sablé biscuits!

250 grams Self-raising flour.      (500)
125 grams castor sugar.             (250)
125 grams butter/ Marge           (250)
1 egg.                                              (2)
Vanilla sugar

Beat egg and sugar
Pinch salt
Add flour
I always slightly melt the butter and add it and make a dough and put it in the fridge to get good and cold!   Roll and cut out and place on tray.  Back in the fridge for a few minutes till the oven is ready.  Gas mk.5. For about 20 minutes
Fan oven 170. Makes 25 or 50 biscuits. Double quantities in brackets.
