Mountain Mist
We’ve had a lovely albeit a quiet day with CCN’s son Sid today. He finally arrived at a few minutes before midnight after an absolute horror trip up from Melbourne. After having to wait 12 hours to catch his flight the nightmare continued when he arrived at Central Station in Sydney to find out that there was trackwork that night on the Blue Mountains Line. It took him 6 hours to do what would normally take 2 hours. We’ll never get caught out like that again.
I had to duck into town for a couple of items and to check the mail and as I turned for home the mist rolled in. I literally stopped my car wound down the window and took this image with my iPhone. It’s one of my favourite stands of Mountain Ash and they never look better than they do on a day like today. Sid heads home very early tomorrow but every minute of today has been enjoyed by his beautiful mum.
PS - How could I forget, Sid is an absolute genius in the kitchen and you should see his knife skills in action (see extra). Tonight he cooked us the most delicious Ricotta Gnocchi with a spinach sauce. I’ve honestly never tasted anything quite like it. Lucky us :)
