Chichester Canal (Part 2)
We walked the other half of the Chichester Canal today, starting and ending at the basin in the city (once we'd got through the traffic heading to the beaches at the Witterings). There is currently a resident cormorant and he was there both when we started and ended our walk, which was very exciting for a cormorant enthusiast like me.
The Extra picture today is the (approximate) view from Hunston junction that inspired Turner's painting of the canal in the 19th century while he was staying at Petworth House.
