Godafoss

I am in Iceland and keep meaning to post some photos but don’t get time!

We were up at 2.30 am, flew to Iceland and this was nearly at the end of an 8 hour drive to Myvatn where we are staying so I was a bit delirious. Plus the hire company managed to give us a car with a slow puncture so it was all a bit stressful!

It is remote and beautiful here; very volcanically active with lava fields and geo-thermal pools everywhere. Also a Game of Thrones location around every corner, I have only been to the south of the island before so this is quite different and I will be back again. I’m here with my sister in law, a fourth trip for us both so we must like it! Although there’s so much sulphur in the water we won’t smell good on our return....
