Storytelling

I believe storytelling stretches our imagination... perhaps key to our very development.

As an artist raising artistic children, I of course recognize art as such an inarguably effective mechanism for storytelling. It's primarily visual focus means that even those who for whatever reason are not confident about writing can utilize images as an anchor - much like the artist of this intriguing piece hanging above a work table in our kitchen. Without knowing how to read nor write & having lost the ability to speak as a young child due to injury, the artist responsible for creating this work told his story nonetheless. My posting his work online long after his passing somehow, although in a minuscule way, provides an opportunity to perpetually weave his story into the fabric of other’s daily Blipping... thereby strengthening his vocabulary.
