Collie Gosh

And so to the Chilterns. Managed to get another ride in today round the gorgeous Chiltern Hills, dropping down Bison hill at Whipsnade Zoo past the bisons ( the clue is in the name) and back up Ivinghoe Beacon. Then a long loop out to Aldbury and up Toms Hill. We then pleaded with Nick, our leader, for a tea stop. He relented and we dropped in to the cafe at Ashridge.

While I was waiting for the others to bring back tea and a bun (more about that below) I spotted this dog walker having a chat with her collies in front of the beacon. A few moments later the group disintegrated when her friend appeared with mugs of tea and the dogs started prancing around.

Looking at the pic I realise that it is too symetrical so I have moved the beacon off centre a little. And anyway I didnt think you would want to see a picture of my mates stuffing their faces with buns.

At the cafe you can get scones with a massive portion of squirty cream. They have you groaning afterwards wishing you had been more sensiible and chosen a piece of carrot cake. But I still choose one every time we go. One of our group though they were hamburgers when viewed from a distance so now we call them creamburgers.
