By the fireside

I do love a fire. It's one of my main complaints about the house we live in that it doesn't have a chimney. A complaint all the more heartfelt after spending a lovely week in a lovely house with not only an open fire in the living room, but also a woodburning stove in the kitchen/dining room. Bliss! It does mean that I spend far too much time sat staring and taking bad pictures when I do get to spend by a fireside, though. This was the first of many fires we enjoyed over the past week, and very welcome it was too after an afternoon's drive across to mid-Wales.
