What weather
As if to mock our leaving the weather turned good. Quickstep shopping at Rogersons shoes, Tisos and Cotswold for sale bargains. Then lovely brunch with the Kerry Lass before a change of plan and out by Longniddry Bents to the Bethel shop at Gullane and a foray into a packed North Berwick. Finally got feet on sand at West Beach before cruise controlling it back to a jewellery repair man and Waitrose for the makings of a last tea with T and P ( for this trip).
We both miss it muchly and vow to be back more.
Oh sweet airs of Scotland
Blow hard o’er our sad exit
And then a blasting gale unleash
Against the shores of Brexit
PS walking down Rose Street I see a tall guy with a familiar craggy face. Alastair Campbell- he clicks I’ve clocked him and proffers a friendly, ‘Hallo’. To which I ‘Hallo’ back. Cool, or what?
