Abstract

How do you get an abstract photo?
You start with a closed frame. The subject fits completely within the frame of the photo (closed frame). Then there is the open framework. The photo no longer fits the photo. One or more edges of the subject fall outside the photo. The lines run outside the frame.
With the abstract photo, the subject is no longer recognizable and falls completely outside the frame.
Jules Sules says: "If you see a photo and wonder - What is it? - then it's an abstract photo!"
Don't think it's always true but I can live with it.
Abstract is sometimes compared to macro photography, but I think it is more close-up photography.
