Taking a rest

A stroll on Mudeford Quay finds piles of fishermens crab and lobster pots with their varying colours. Often starlings are found around them. Though the traditional styles have changed I love them.

We spend the summer avoiding pots when we are out to sea then as soon as we give up for the winter the fishermen seem to take them all out...all related to seasons I guess. Fishing is a tough employment and I hope the crews manage a bit of a rest this time of year though food has to be put on the table.
