Technicolor

Elbows and I rushed up to London to meet the friends that lent us their Spanish Villa.

We wanted to take them out. We had a gorgeous meal first and then headed off to watch ’Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ Apparently, when Elbows and Nick shared a car returning home very late at night after work, they often sang along to the soundtrack! Sounds v bizarre but I guess it kept them awake in the small hours of the night.

It was simply wonderful. I’d seen it 25 years ago with Jason Donovan as Joseph. But it was so much better than I remembered.

And our friend Nick, played Simeon once, in an amateur production, in front of Andrew Lloyd-Weber, and he knew every single word and loved it because he’d never seen it before in theatre. And I was in a Joseph play once too so I knew the words as well. :-)

So I loved loved loved a packed theatre enjoying hearing all about Joseph’s life. Mega wonderful. I know it’s just entertainment to most, but it’s still a Bible story ....
