Sunset behind Horton Tower

I have visited this tower before - three years ago when I was in this area with the Visual Arts group of the RPS. Now the tower had been tidied up, footpath nearly fenced off and, although there is access to the tower itself, there is a locked door preventing access inside. I see that it is now used as a mobile phone mast and all the windows are glazed. A great ruin/folly tarted up and tidy. Ruins aren't tidy - they're ruins and derelict.

We headed there for sunset but it wasn't spectacular.

We had been on a longish walk through part off the New Forest. Very beautiful and we found a deepish ford where Pepper had some fun.
