1812
Another milestone in my progress- an evening out and my first in six months of coming home after dark.
Our local park has a free music festival every August. This evening we saw a great Frank Sinatra tribute singer, followed by some musical renditions by Rock Choir.
My granddaughter joined the choir some months ago, and loves singing at their various concerts and events. She has reduced mobility and has been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. This week she had a consultation with a neurologist who thinks she may have MS. It is very distressing as she is 18years old and a year ago was competing in dressage events at top horse shows. She is always positive and I have never heard her complain .
In my blip of the Rock Choir, there are two young women in wheelchairs. Ella is in the middle of the front row.
The Choir is amazing and their sound is brilliant. They sing a variety of contemporary and rock songs.
Following the Rock Choir's set, the Eynsford Concert Band performed with singer Sue Rivers. Their grand finale was the 1812 Overture with a firework display over the lake. Extra. It was very well coordinated, very loud and very impressive with the lighting show.
The Band finished with their mini proms set. It could have been the BBCs Last Night. Everyone joined in with singing Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem.
It was a wonderful evening with friends. Extra. I could not have had a better tonic for my convalescence.
