Marchmont

Every August I stay in my sons' flat in Marchmont, on the South side of the Meadows in Old Town. This is a typical Marchmont view, baronial Scots style architecture, 3 storey tenements ( the flat is on the 3rd floor) and cobbled streets. The bikes are new. 
Today I saw an excellent acapella band from St Andrews University,  an exhibition at the Museum on the Highlands and a knitting exhibition.  I also bought the flat a new vacuum cleaner to say thank you to my son and his lodgers for putting up with me.  Hoping a cordless Dyson will encourage them to do more vacuuming
