On the road back to Harderwijk!

Here I am back in Harderwijk, the place where we began our bike tour around IJsselmeer a week ago. 

We've had sunshine, cloud, wind and rain. There's been amazing views across the lake and spectacular canals lined with quaint little houses.

We've explored the busy, vibrant city of Amsterdam and discovered tiny little villages with individual personalities. 

We've spotted cows and goats, windmills and boats along the way! However above all, we've been astounded by the incredible integrated network of bike paths every step of the way. 

It's clear cycling is seen as a way of life, a mode of transport, not just a hobby. It is an inclusive cycling land where absolutely everybody can ride a bike of any type. I for one think the UK could learn lots...and lots! :-)
