Digitalis "Foxlight Plum Gold"

A little while ago we bought a couple of digitalis plants for the "wild bed" that are cross bred, hence sterile, and therefore will not die after flowering, but will come again next year.  This one in particular has been very generous with rather glorious dark coloured flowers this year - I do hope it comes back again next year.

It's too hot for gardening, and in any case, there's nothing pressing, so I spent the day in the sewing room, and have now finished one wing.  I will hopefully make progress on the second wing this weekend.
