Small things

I had a pretty emotional day for various reasons but a good moment was when I was walking Django. A young guy was crouching with his mobile phone, baseball cap, a bit of a lad... Django went towards him and he petted him, then turned to me with a lovely smile, commenting on Django’s eyes (one blue, one brown). He then showed me this caterpillar and said: “The wee lass would have loved it, I’ve just dropped her to school, so I took a photo for her.” It gave me such a warm feeling - the appreciation of beauty in nature and the small things, the love for his daughter and the trust he had in me to share this. Feeling grateful for the connection.
