Ashore for the winter

Peridot is finally on dry land!  Mike and I put the trolley down the slip and into the water this morning and when the tide had reached the right height, he manoeuvred Peridot onto it.  Jimmy came down to help with the guiding and the catching of ropes etc.  I have my limitations!

This evening, when he had finished combining, local farmer Vincent came and hauled the trolley to the top of the slip, ready for us to get it onto the trailer tomorrow.  It's quite a performance, but it's worth it to have Peridot safely ashore for the winter.  A good opportunity for Mike to get all the maintenance done on her, ready for next year.  It's a couple of years since she's been out so she's due a though going over!
