Colony

I went to a concert this evening, close to where I live. A woman I know is organising concert series in her garden or her home, depending on the arrangement and the time of year. This evening she had booked a group called "Kolonien", The Colony, who plays lively "world music", folk music influenced by many different cultures, then mixed to their own liking. 

I needed to hear someone else play after having another rehearsing day for tomorrows concert. They were very inspiring, very good, very young and very devoted to their music. All their parents are musicians too so these people has had this kind of music around them since before they were born and have and been influenced by and met many skilled musicians from all over the world through their parents. No wonder they are skilled and completely relaxed in front of the audience and have a lot of fun while playing. Two of the players has had kids of their own, who are with them on the tour. The story continues. Future looks promising.
