Walking and Working

We started our day with a walk down to the nearest lake. The air was fresh after a cool night, but the sun was warm; a delightful late summer day.
As we arrived we were seen by two cranes feeding on the far side of the lake. They shrieked a warning to each other and lifted into the air.
It seems a little early to be migrating south so perhaps they are local birds who have been in the area the whole summer.
After our walk, and a bit of breakfast, I started work on The Red House again. The first layer of boards is nearly in place now, as you can see in the extra.
