Snake In The Grass

We were standing talking to a woman, who had stopped to sing Ollie's praises to me, when this grass snake slithered across the path towards the river bank. (These snakes love water and are good swimmers.) It's not a great pic but I've never photographed a snake before, so it had to be my blip. I told MrQ about it when I got home and he started humming Snake Rag, one of the jazz standards that he used to play in the Happy Jazz Band.
