Home again

We are home again and although I’m very happy to be in my own bed, I’m not looking forward to the heat & humidity again along with the rain over the next several days.

There were torrential thunderstorms while we were gone and they did a number on some of the plants in my gardens. I had to cut several limbs on the Confederate Rose bush that had been broken.

I was very happy to see that I had two Diamantina Clematis blooms opening up.

I took the opportunity today between being in the garden and going to the post office etc, to re-listen to my audiobook Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. It’s a story I found most enjoyable and interesting.
