Smashing Day

Sadly not in a good way! We went in to town for some odds and ends, including light bulbs to fit this lamp and a picture frame for a lovely print I had bought in Orkney.

TJ took a spare bulb with him to be sure of getting the right size, but when he pulled it from his pocket it fell on the floor and smashed. An assistant had to sweep up the pieces for him:-). Fortunately he was still able to identify the correct bulb.

Home again and I set about putting the print into the new frame. It was a neat fit and when I had finished I realised I’d missed one of the metal clips, so tried to take it apart again. Watching me struggle, TJ took it from me and said he would do it - and promptly smashed the glass! Not his best afternoon:-)

Just for the record - more heavy rain and grey skies today.
