First fruit

Hidden under the vast leaf canopy there are a few pumpkins forming - this one the furthest advanced.

I toiled away for an hour or three, trying out the fierce new strimmer and digging up more weeds. Found an unthinned row of rather stunted pak choi, so planted a few of them out - we may be glad of fresh produce come November.
