Fun with flash

First day back at work. It was quiet and I got some research done. The Boy had a night off so I came home to a lovely pot of chilli waiting for dinner. I really should try and get out and about for a walk at lunchtimes, I might get some better photos if I did as it's dark when I go to work, dark when I come home.

I tried to get some nice shots of the carnations I bought the other day. Still struggling with the Canon in Aperture Mode. Couldn't get the speed up, when I could it wouldn't sync with my remote flash, when it did sync the power of the canon flash was enough to cast pink light through my hand on to the flowers. I was ready to put it down and grab the Lumix. I persevered however (switching it to automatic to prevent me getting cross) and got a shot.

In other news, I've been watching DigitialRev's Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera Challenges with some great amusement.
