Revelling in the rain

Rain was in the forecast and for once, the forecast was correct! So happy to hear the rain during the night. I was hoping for a walk in the rain, and that's exactly what I had! Who gets excited when she sees puddles? I do!!
We had a lovely celebratory dinner last night. Thank you for the comments on yesterday's blip, much appreciated. We came home to tragic news of a good friend's brother being killed in a cycling accident. We go back many years and have met his brother numerous times, a really good guy. We saw the accident reported on the news, but the victim hadn't been identified because he didn't have any ID on him. We talked to our friend this morning, very difficult times. We plan to go to the celebration of life in September. News like that always hits hard and is a reminder to live each day to the full because we never know what might happen.
