We have been in Edinburgh for the day, mainly to visit both the Edinburgh Internaional Salon and the RPS Visual Art exhibition which was showing in the same building.

In previous years we always followed visting the exhibition with trying to take photographs of the Fringe events in the Royal Mile. However as we were disappointed with our photos the last time we decided to do something different and go to he botanic gardens. In fact it was a good decision as it rained during the afternoon so we took in the exhibition of Insect Portraits by Levon Biss. We spent the remainder of the afternoon in the glass houses where it was both warm and dry.
