The Boys Are Back In Town

Guess who just got back today?
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven't changed, haven't much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy

Perhaps overplaying it a bit, but the sentiment is true.

About 11 years ago a company I worked for, Reynard Motorsport closed. Every now and again a few of us have a get together involving a curry and a few beers, and as one of the former machinists was visiting family from his home in New Zealand it seemed like a great opportunity for a get together. This particular get together was very well attended.

There were people there that I hadn't seen for 13 years or more since I left the company. It is great to see how they have all got on. Many are married and have children, some travelled the globe. It is always great to see all those people you worked with so many years ago that are now doing very well for themselves. Quite a few are having careers that through their skill and hard work has got then to very good positions in some of the best motorsport companies in the world, and you can't help but feel pleased for them, and proud to have worked with them in the past.

Boy, many of us have aged though!
