Lakeland Miniature Village
Tuesday 20th August 2019
We decided we'd seen enough of Grange so, after a lovely breakfast and a talk with the hotel manager about possibilities for the future we packed the car and set off to explore.
First stop was Humphrey Head, the tip of the peninsular. We started to walk around the base of the cliff but it soon became too muddy.
Next stop Lakeland Miniature Village. Wow, what a fantastic place! All the models have been made by one man over the last 27 years using local slate to replicate local houses etc.
We then moved on to Cartmel Priory but, of course, we also had to sample the famous Cartmel sticky toffee pudding! Delicious!
Finally we drove to Hawkshead to go to the outdoor shop.
We made it back home in time for me to do a wedding rehearsal, then spent the rest of the evening looking at photos.
