X Marks the Spot

Out for a walk on the Moors today stopping off at Levisham station. This is the place where the trains cross on their journey to Pickering and Grosmont.

The station platform is very short so the driver has to judge where to stop to enable the passengers to get on and off the train. This shows the driver looking for the correct spot to halt the train.
