Surprise sunflower

This sunflower has popped up in one of my pots, probably dropped by one of the birds or hidden by a coal tit.It has proved popular with a number of bees, hoverflies and wasps.
It was sunny and dry for most of the day returning to heavy showers at 5.15pm.
The children all went back to school today but we are not back to Brownies till next week.I like to give them a week to get into a routine :)
I heard the owls last night and it’s getting dark so much earlier too, we’re actually getting dark skies and stars :)
