Guernsey Underground News Service was as it’s name suggests an underground newspaper produced during the Occupation. It was mostly printed on the very thin tissue paper used to pack tomatoes for export and was passed around from person to person. As always happens somebody saw a personal opportunity and reported it to the Germans. I believe their 30 pieces of silver was a silver cigarette case. Very appropriate!
