Apostle birds

The Apostle birds had a great time today in the wet grass after we turned the sprinkler off. M said to me " They are really nothing birds, nothing to look at or listen to" but I think they have so much character. It's interesting to watch them posing and posturing for the best spot and giving the cats a lecture if they dare to come too close.
