Butterflies

Love the fact that here in the mountains, there is plenty of a plant called Butterfly Weed. Have seen plenty of butterflies and lots of bumble bees and honey bees. Yay!

In extras I have the “Peachoid”, a 135ft water tower in Gaffney, SC.

The Peachoid was commissioned by the Gaffney Board of Public Works. The shape of the peach was selected because the Gaffney economy was then dependent upon peach orchards and because the people of the town wanted to make it clear that South Carolina and Cherokee County alone, where Gaffney is located, produced more peaches per year than the entire state of Georgia, known as the “Peach State”. The Peachoid’s high visibility has introduced an element of tourism to the local economy.

We traveled to Simpsonville SC today where Kent spent the afternoon working and I got to do as I pleased!
