The new red light district

False creek is unsettling. So many people living on the pretty edge of the inlet, and yet all the dwellings are concrete, featureless. Drawn back from the sidewalks and buffeted by rows of matching landscape cubes and clutter-free balconies with red exit signs at allotted intervals.
This is Vancouver. Pretty but cold. It seems so shallow that one simply HAS to imagine deeply interesting goings on inside.
